Drupal, through the use of a module, automatically creates a sitemap for you. With this module, there is no need to ensure that your sitemap is kept up to date every time you create a page. It is also possible for Drupal to automatically generate xml feeds especially for google to keep them informed of any new pages you create. As soon as the page is published, google can know about it at the next scheduled submission.
